Record sleeve designs and Identity design
Each side of Kwes’ record packaging is a colourful impression of the music-colour syn-aesthetic experience he had with each track. The actual vinyl is transparent as it didn’t make sense to represent it with a single colour.
Kwes’s logo is a typographic composition of a cassette tape, which has connotations of the music and process primarily being analogue.
As well as designing a logo, I also made a typeface as part of Kwes’s visual identity – both are still in use today, as well as the concept of using colourful gradients on his record sleeves.
